Unicorns, Outlaws, Falling Leaves and Wet Feet

With the help of Single Speed Outlaws David Kegley and Todd Bauer, a group of TBLers spent a beautiful fall Saturday exploring the back roads of Loudoun County. Billed as a Dirty Road Ride, the ride name quickly morphed into “The Unicorn Ride.” The ride was 63 miles long, with 4800 feet of climbing on rolling gravel and dirt roads. Some photos:

All smiles before the ride: Todd, Anne, Frank, Dee, Russ, Todd, David, Matt, Al, David, Joe, and Laura.

The best way to view fall leaves.

Midway thru the ride.

There was one deep stream crossing on the ride.  Some rode along the edge, then climbed up the bank:

Some rode straight through the deep end.

Anne was smarter than all of us…. She rode along the edge, then cut over to coast right up on to the road, hardly even got her feet wet:

Still smiling after the ride.
